Crumbl-Style Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- All-Purpose Flour: 3 cups (360g)
- Cornstarch: 1 tablespoon (8g)
- Baking Soda: 1 teaspoon (5g)
- Kosher Salt: 1 teaspoon (6g)
- Unsalted Butter: 1 cup (227g), room temperature
- Light Brown Sugar: 1¼ cups (250g), packed
- Granulated Sugar: ½ cup (100g)
- Large Eggs: 2
- Vanilla Extract: 2 teaspoons (10ml)
- Milk Chocolate Chips: 2¼ cups (400g), plus extra for topping
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in Chocolate Chips: Stir in the milk chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Shape Cookies: Using a ⅓ cup measuring cup, scoop dough and roll into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 3 inches apart.
- Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
- Cool and Serve: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
